Golf at Vidanta

We usually allocate up to 6 rounds of free green fees for our two-bedroom rentals at the Grand Mayan, Grand Bliss, and Grand Luxxe.  Additionally, the one-bedroom units can come with up to 4 rounds of free golf green fees.  The free greens fees are for the on-site golf courses; you supply, or rent clubs and pay a caddie and cart fees (required at some courses) for $25-$30 per round for two people.  The caddies are worth it, as they are experienced and helpful.

For more detailed descriptions of the golf courses see Vidanta's website.  For additional information and to make tee times call 1-866-231-4423.

Here is our summary of the Vidanta golf courses:

Acapulco--we haven't tried it yet; but it's touted as one of the best golf courses in Mexico. 18-hole, par 72.

Los Cabos--no caddies. 9-hole, par 35, narrow fairways surrounded by the city.

Nuevo Vallarta--there are three on-site golf courses:

  •  Jack Nicklaus designed, 18-hole, par 72 course that has recently been ungraded and rebuilt--several ponds and lots of sand for an added challenge.  Five holes are being rebuilt to provide space for the new Cirque du Soleil.

  • Greg Norman 18-hole, par 72, course--a bit more challenging.  Note we have very few free green fees for this course.

  • A 9-hole executive course (to be completed Spring 2017)--no caddies, walking only.  Built around ponds in the center of the resort.

Riviera Maya--Caddies are not supplied for this Jack Nicklaus course.  A great executive-type course with a large number of water hazards.  We have played this with our grandchildren who also enjoyed it.   18-hole, par 54.

Puerto Peñasco--no caddies. Another great Jack Nicklaus-designed desert course that sits between the Sea of Cortez and a tidal estuary.  Surrounded by beautiful sand-dune roughs. 18-hole, par 72.  Bring lots of balls, because you can't cross into the natural areas.

Puerto Vallarta--no golf course on site but you can use your free golf at the Nuevo Vallarta golf course.
